Tomasz Thomson - Directors

Born in Poland, bur raised in Germany, Tomasz passed the tough entry exams at the highly acclaimed polish national film school in Lodz at the innocent age of nineteen. A school which has such well known offsprings like Polanski or Kieslowski. Now, a few years later, he is an award winning, internationally noted filmmaker and one of the most promising talents in German indie cinema.

Tomasz is shooting both feature films and commercials, which is the "perfect mix" for him as he says. It's the variety that strikes him most, the unique possibilities and the very simple truth that - no matter if short or long, funny or heartbreaking - a catching story always touches the viewer. He's great with actors and has discovered some talents who became well known actors in the meantime.

With his great sense of humor and the love for storytelling, Tomasz turns any script into something very special.

Based in Cologne, Germany, he's working on his third feature film right now. However, he loves getting interrupted and being dragged away for a commercial shooting.
