Moritz was born in the early eighties in Frankfurt/Germany. When he started working in a small video rental in his hometown, he thought that he had arrived where he belonged. But soon, he came to the conclusion that watching movies wasn't enough for him. So he picked up a camera and shot a shortfilm that his friends enjoyed and everybody else thought was a waste of time. After graduation he started working at a postproduction and after that he did an internship at a commercial filmproduction. After serving a lot of coffees and copying a lot of tapes, he was finally accepted at the prestigious filmakademie baden-württemberg where he started studying in 2004. His first year film Akumi, a black and white zombie action short, was awarded with the German national camera and editing award in the shortfilm category. It was also featured on the 13th street shocking shorts compilation and was broadcasted by Arte, a french/german arthouse tv station. His second year film "Vidiots", a slacker/"not-so-romantic" comedy, was picked up by a publisher and was featured on the German version of the "Fanboys" DVD. He took part in the UCLA filmmakers program in 2008. He then specialised in adverstising and has been working in this field ever since. He kept on shooting shortfilms, because commercials are just too darn short. In 2009 he shot and finished "Conrad", a pilot for a vampire tv-show and in 2011 he shot "Viva Berlin!", a series of five episodes taking place in quarantined and zombie infested Berlin, which is currently in postproduction. He loves Asian action films, has a soft spot for american romantic comedies and has a mild videogame addiction. He graduated in 2010 and moved to Berlin where he now lives and works.
